The five W's of the Watergate Scandal

The people involved in the Watergate Scandal were Richard Nixon, John Mitchell, John Dean, John Ehrlichman, HR Haldman, the White House Council, and the FBI. The Watergate Scandal started when a security guard caught burglars breaking into the Watergate Hotel in Washington DC, the headquarters of the Democratic Party. The burglars were found to be linked to Nixon's administration. Nixon attempted a cover-up and denied involvement, but the discovery of several tape recordings showed that Nixon had been in charge of several illegal actions. Nixon resigned. The Watergate Scandal took place in Washington DC in 1972. Nixon's motive for the Watergate Scandal was political power and re-election. The consequences of the scandal were several people were arrested and Nixon had to resign.
