As a poor black man I feel frustrated. I can't seem to escape poverty. I live in New York City in the slums. I have no job because I do not have a good education. I cant' get an education because where I live is very poor and the schools are run down. I feel that President Lyndon Johnson supports me in my troubles. If the government spends more money on education, the schools in my area will be improved. If the schools are better, then there's a better chance for me to succeed. I feel that education is very important just like the president feels it is. I believe in President Johnson and I feel like he can change society to be a great environment for everybody. I am praying and thanking God for President Johnson and I will stay hopeful.

I'm a farmer and I have rights. I feel like there's a lot of poor people who live around me. Since they are poor they don't have good medical care. They were born with the same rights. Since they are born in this country with the same rights, they should have the same medical care. The government spends too much money on the war in Vietnam. If there was no war, then everyone would have more money spent on medical care. I'm frustrated with the war. I feel like they need to spend more money on medical needs. Maybe their programs will expand and everyone will have the same opportunities to live healthier.

I'm a kid living in the outskirts of L.A. I want to go to good schools, but the transportation is bad. I wish the schools would have a bus service. Then I could get to the good schools and get a better education. When I grow up, I want to get a job in the city. Maybe by then, the transportation into the city will be better. I would like to have a family and let my children have a better opportunity to go to good schools and get jobs where the money is good. If they travel, there should be safe transportation. In the future, I think this will happen because the government has a plan to make this country a better place for everyone. When I grow up, I will vote for President Nixon so that these plans for a better nation happen.
